Annie Sloan Paint Waxes and Finishes

Chalk Paint® Wax seals and protects furniture and walls painted with Chalk Paint® decorative paint. It gives a beautiful depth of colour and gives a lovely matt finish, or it can be buffed to give a high sheen. The wax is water-repellent, so can be used on dining room tables and kitchen cabinets. The wax comes in four colours, clear, dark (brown), black and white. Each one gives a different look, but it is recommended for chalk paint finishes to be sealed with a clear wax first, to prevent staining by any other coloured wax. This also helps when trying to get an even look with the other waxes. Other finishes include gilding waxes, crackle varnish, loose and transfer leaf gilding, lacquer and decoupage varnish.
